I’m feeling more tired than usually this morning in my office.  It’s Friday and one of the program managers is wearing windbreaker pants and I know this long before I see her, but only because the sound of her rustling legs echoes off the empty walls of the hallway. 

I’m waiting for my first appointment of the day.  Having neglected my report writing, I opt instead to find some resources for my client’s family.  I suppose I was still productive, just not to the same extent.  I get an email about the board unanimously voting on a new CEO for the company and a surprising feeling of relief comes over me.  I’m hoping that the newspaper will stop writing stories about the uncertain future of my place of employment.  Albeit gossip, it’s still enough to be unsettling.

My day shouldn’t be too bad and my night and weekend should be great.  I really should drink some coffee after work, just so I don’t nod off at dinner tonight.  I don’t want to be dull or unpleasant for Chloe.  It’s her weekend, too, afterall.

With six hours to go, I’m devising ways to occupy my mind.  These few clients should help, today.
